# Staking Program Reward Reduction

<figure><img src="/files/pL7Df6gYDnkyrtZaIHdu" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Bitcoin employs an algorithm that ensures a 50% reduction in block rewards for mining every 4 years, creating its own pattern where Bitcoin tends to experience positive movements every 4 years. The success of Bitcoin with this strategy is one of the reasons why we adopt a similar method in the DCT token. The DCT token also features a reduction in block rewards every 2 years through a decentralized Staking Program on the Tron blockchain network.
